Spectrastar XT stf file question
Posted: 08 August 2016 02:35 PM

I have a new spectra star XT and I am trying to set up a product with 2 calibrations.  One is for standard parameters and one is for more sensitive parameters.  I have made 2 calibration methods and tried to combine them into a product but I get a message that the STF files must match.

How can I put these together?

Hi Andre,

If 2 PRD files are to be combined into 1 product, they must have the same master instrument or standardization basis.  UScan does not allow 2 PRDS to be combined if they have different standarization bases and thus different STF files.  UScan is set up this way for a number of reasons but one major one is that it would make exporting standardized spectra very complicated and confusing.

I am not sure of your setup, but if you have 2 PRDs on different standardization bases, you might want to explore moving one or both calibrations to the XT.  Please let me know if you have questions or want to discuss this.
